The ingredients needed to make Dahi Vada:
  1. Make ready urad dhuli dal
  2. Take hing/ asafoetida
  3. Prepare Salt
  4. Make ready Oil for frying
  5. Get chopped green chilli
  6. Get chopped ginger
  7. Get thick yogurt
  8. Get milk
  9. Take black salt
  10. Make ready sugar
  11. Make ready red chilli powder 1 tsp Chaat masala powder
  12. Get sweet tamarind chutney

  15. Make ready namkeen sev
  16. Get Chopped coriander leaves
Instructions to make Dahi Vada:
  1. Soak the dal for 3-4 hours
  2. Drain extra water and add ginger, green chilli and grind to a batter.
  3. Add salt and zeera to the batter and mix vigorously
  4. Heat oil for frying in a kadhai or alternatively make bhalla a in an appe pan using very little oil.
  5. Fry till crispy then take them out on an absorbent paper
  6. Put them in hot water with a pinch of heeng. Keep them soaked for 15-20 minutes
  7. Beat the yogurt and add milk and sugar
  8. Gently sqeeze water from the bhalle and place them in half the beaten yogurt mixture.
  9. For assembling
  10. Put vadas in the bowl. Add curd green chutney and sweet chutney.
  11. Add salt black salt red chilli powder chaat masala powder and roasted jeera powder.
  12. Garnish Dahi Bhalla with boondi sev and coriander leaves and serve immediately.
  13. Ready to serve and ENJOY!
