These bhalla freeze so well and honestly I love this about them! I often make a big batch (because I hate frying) so I will make a big batch one and then freeze them to use later. Dahi vada is a type of chaat (snack) originating from the Indian subcontinent and popular throughout South Asia. It is prepared by soaking vadas (fried flour balls) in thick dahi (yogurt).

The ingredients needed to make Dahi bhalla:
  1. Get Half cup moong yellow lentil
  2. Prepare Half cup urad lentil
  3. Take 1/3 cup chana daal
  4. Get For curd preparation =2 cups curd
  5. Take 1/3 cup cold milk
  6. Get 1 tbsp rock salt
  7. Make ready 1 tsp paprika
  8. Get 1 tsp black pepper
  9. Get 1 tsp chaat masala
  10. Make ready 1 tbsp cumin powder

Dahi Bhalla is prepared of fried black gram dumplings served with spicy yogurt and few types of chutney. Dahi Bhalla recipe is almost the same as how you make Dahi vada. For our Holi brunch, I had prepared Delhi style Dahi Bhalla chaat and it literally transported me to heaven. Dahi Bhalla is an absolutely delicious Indian snack.

Instructions to make Dahi bhalla:
  1. For bhallas=first rinse all the lentils together and soak for at least 6 hours.now blend by adding little portions of them.make a smooth batter
  2. Now transfer it in a large bowl and just whisk by hand for 10 to 15 minutes bcuz I don't recommend to add baking soda to make fluffy bhallas.just whisk and when it looks fluffy smooth batter rest it for 10 minutes
  3. Now make oil hot in another pan and start putting small balls of batter with hand or ice cream scoop.make a small bhallas.let it fry at medium flame.
  4. Let them cool down and put them in hot water for 10 minutes.put all the ingredients in curd and whisk well until it smooth.add bhallas to curd and enjoy with tamarind sauce
  5. Ready to serve and ENJOY!
